TERMS AND CONDITIONS: MOTORCYCLE FIJI
1. AGE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
To rent a motorcycle, you must present:
- A valid motorcycle license or a driver’s license with motorcycle entitlement.
- A passport (for non-residents).
- A credit card for the security bond.
All documentation can be completed digitally in advance as part of our digital waiver process. We also recommend bringing your booking confirmation for reference.
- Age Requirement: All renters must be at least 21 years old.
- International Licenses: If your license is not in English, an International Driving Permit (IDP) or a certified translation is required. License restrictions from your home country apply in Fiji. If you hold a learner or provisional license, or if there are other restrictions, please contact us in advance to confirm eligibility.
2. HELMETS
In compliance with Fijian law, all riders and passengers must wear an approved motorcycle helmet. Motorcycle Fiji highly recommends bringing your own helmet for the best fit and safety. While we provide helmets at no extra charge, Motorcycle Fiji cannot assume liability for any injury, loss, or damage related to helmets provided by us or third parties.4
3. ACCESSORIES AND EQUIPMENT
You are responsible for any keys, GPS units, accessories, or equipment (such as luggage or locks) provided with the motorcycle. In the event of loss or damage to these items, you will be liable for the cost of replacement or repair, plus any resulting rental losses. We recommend obtaining travel insurance that covers these costs.
4. SAFE USE POLICY
All rentals include unlimited kilometers. However, for your safety, we advise against extended ride durations, especially around dawn and dusk, due to heightened risks from wildlife activity and limited visibility. Riding for more than four hours without sufficient breaks is considered excessive.
5. PERSONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE
We require renters to have personal travel insurance that specifically covers motorcycling in Fiji. This should include accident coverage, medical evacuations, and cancellations. Motorcycle Fiji is not liable for any uninsured incidents, and riding without a helmet may void insurance coverage.
6. PAYMENTS, DEPOSITS, AND SECURITY BOND
- Payment Terms: Full payment is due upon booking.
- Security Bond: The security bond amount depends on the bike model rented and will be held for the rental duration.
- Bond Forfeiture: Any breach of terms may result in the forfeiture of the security bond.
7. CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation fees apply as follows:
- More than 30 days before booking: 20% fee
- 6–30 days before booking: 50% fee
- 2–6 days before booking: 80% fee
- Less than 48 hours before booking: 100% fee
8. BREAKDOWNS AND SERVICE PLEDGE
In the event of a breakdown, contact us immediately. Our National Breakdown Cover will arrange for assessment, repair, or transportation as needed. We will attempt to provide a replacement bike or alternative transport if necessary. Please note that additional expenses, such as accommodation or transportation due to breakdown, are not covered by Motorcycle Fiji.

9. RETURN POLICY AND EXTENDED RENTALS
- Return Location: All rentals must be returned to the original pickup location unless otherwise arranged.
- Relocation Costs: If a bike cannot be returned to the agreed location, additional relocation fees may apply.
10. RIDING ON UNSEALED ROADS AND GRAVEL
Riding on unsealed roads in Fiji is allowed but requires adequate preparation. Insurance coverage does not extend to single-vehicle accidents on gravel roads, and recovery costs in such cases are the renter’s responsibility. Please notify us if you intend to ride on gravel roads to review insurance requirements. Riding on prohibited routes, including but not limited to beaches, salt lakes, and restricted areas, is strictly forbidden and voids all insurance coverage.
11. INDEMNITY AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
By booking with Motorcycle Fiji, you agree to release and hold harmless Motorcycle Fiji and its affiliates from any liability related to personal injury, loss of life, or property damage during your rental period. You accept all associated risks, including those arising from road conditions and the inherent dangers of motorcycling, and agree to ride responsibly, adhere to traffic regulations, and wear appropriate safety equipment at all times.
12. UPDATES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Motorcycle Fiji reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. We recommend reviewing them before each booking to stay informed of any changes.
